Tuesday, March 26, 2013
The gold and silver refineries of Sichuan Tianze Precious Metals Co., Ltd (Sichuan Tianze) of China have been added to the LBMA’s Good Delivery List for gold and silver with effect from 26th March, 2013.
Sichuan Tianze has satisfied the LBMA as to its ownership, history, production capability and
financial standing. It has also passed the LBMA’s exhaustive testing procedures, under which its
gold and silver bars were examined and assayed by independent referees, and its own assaying
capabilities were tested.
Sichuan Tianze is located in Chengdu. Its primary sources of gold feedstock are low grade gold
products; alluvial gold; recycled and recovered gold from industrial, jewellery and investment
products. The refiner’s primary sources of silver feedstock are crude silver from local smelters
and traders and recycled jewellery and investment products. Sichuan
Tianze’s refined gold and silver output is in the form of bars for investment purposes, as well as
fabricated products for a range of industries.
The London Good Delivery List of Acceptable Refiners of gold and silver is maintained by
the LBMA, by whom it is copyrighted. It lists those refineries whose gold and silver bars have
been found, when originally tested, to meet the required standard for acceptability in
the London bullion market. The List now includes 65 gold and 74 silver refiners.
