LBMA is launching the periodic reporting capability within the Gold Bar Integrity (GBI) Database, allowing all Good Delivery List (GDL) Refiners to voluntarily begin reporting their Country of Origin (CoO) data through the GBI platform from Thursday, 30 April 2026.
Reporting will be cumulative, so a submission made in January would cover one month, while a submission made in March would cover the full period from January to March.
All Refiners are encouraged to take the opportunity to test the new reporting requirements this year, to ensure any issues can be highlighted and fixed in time for mandatory reporting in 2027, when all GDL Refiners will be required to submit their CoO data monthly.
Periodic reporting enhances transparency by providing more current and consistent data throughout the year, early visibility over supply chains in high-risk locations, as well as supporting LBMA’s strategic goals of strengthening integrity, accountability, and market confidence.
