LBMA Net Clearing Data (Daily Averages): April 2026

Our clearing data represents the net volume of transfers of gold and silver physically held in London – known as Loco London – settled between the four LBMA Market Maker banks that own and operate London Precious Metals Clearing Limited (LPMCL).

Daily Averages Gold Clearing Data - April 2026

The volume of gold transferred in April decreased by 12.2% month on month (m/m) to 15.7mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred down by 14.7% m/m to $74.2bn. There were 6,902 transfers, 20.5% lower m/m, with the clearers settling on average 2,267 ounces per transfer, 10.5 higher m/m.

Daily Averages Silver Clearing Data - April 2026

For silver, the volume of ounces transferred decreased by 13.1% m/m to 189.4mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred down 16.2% m/m to $14.3bn. The number of transfers decreased by 28.2% m/m to 1,935, with the clearers settling on average 97,850 ounces per transfer, 21% higher m/m.

The average gold/silver price ratio in April increased 62.4 to from 61.9 in March.
