The volume of gold transferred in November increased by 1.1% month on month (m/m) to 18.5 mn, with the corresponding value transferred up 4.8% m/m to $31.9 bn. There were 3,669 transfers, 13.8% lower m/m, with the clearers settling on average 5,037 ounces per transfer, 17.3% higher m/m.

For silver, the volume of ounces transferred decreased by 1.7% m/m to 238.1 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred up 6.6% m/m to $5.0 bn. The number of transfers increased by 9.5% m/m to 1,735, with the clearers settling on average 137,221 ounces per transfer, 10.3% lower m/m.
The average gold/silver price ratio in November was down to 82.2 from 86.0 in October.
