The volume of gold transferred in October decreased by 5.5% month on month (m/m) to 16.3 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred down 1% m/m to $43.8 bn. There were 5,268 transfers, 7% lower m/m, with the clearers settling on average 3,092 ounces per transfer, 1.6% higher m/m.
Daily Averages Silver Clearing Data - October 2024
For silver, the volume of ounces transferred increased by 5.5% m/m to 214.6 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred up 2% m/m to $7 bn. The number of transfers increased by 7.4% m/m to 3,091, with the clearers settling on average 69,427 ounces per transfer, 12.1% lower m/m.
The average gold/silver price ratio in October decreased to 82.9 from 85.5 in September.
