Following the closing remarks and presentation of prizes at the LBMA/LPPM Global Precious Metals Conference, there will be a special joint session on Tuesday, 15 October from 15:30 to 17:30 ETZ. Delivered in collaboration by LBMA and the World Gold Council, this session will continue the dialogue started at the Sustainability & Responsible Sourcing Summit in March 2024. The session hopes to be interactive, with a focus on ASM, as well as looking at Responsible Sourcing and the baseline standards, including Recycled Gold.
In addition, LBMA and the World Gold Council will be hosting an invite-only lunch to allow for meaningful discussions on progress and what the two organisations can do to support the value chain.
Building on: Challenges and Opportunities in the Global Mining Industry
The Forum will also be building on conversations from Session 6 on the same day: Challenges and Opportunities in the Global Mining Industry.
Featuring distinguished speakers Robert Armstrong (US Financial Commentator, Financial Times), Mario Campos (Director of Precious Metals, Codelco), George Cheveley (Portfolio Manager, Ninety One), Victor Flores (Verum Metalla Advisors), and James Luke (Co-Manager of Schroders Global Gold/Co-Manager of SAS Commodity Products, Schroders), this session will examine both the challenges and opportunities that define the current and future state of the multifaceted global mining industry landscape.
