One of the standout features of this year's LBMA/LPPM Global Precious Metals Conference programme is the 'Outlook for Asian Gold Demand' session. This session will dive into the key forces shaping gold demand across Asia – one of the world’s most influential regions for the precious metals market.

A seasoned bullion and banking professional with over 25 years of experience, Dileep Narayanan currently leads the Bullion Treasury at Malabar Group - one of the largest global jewellery retailers. With a distinguished background in both retail and institutional gold markets, he plays a pivotal role in the Group’s strategic sourcing, trading, and hedging operations across India and international markets.

Prior to joining Malabar Group, Dileep led the bullion division at the Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank), where he spent over two decades driving growth in precious metals trading and establishing key industry partnerships. His unique expertise bridges the worlds of commercial banking, gold refining, retail distribution, and treasury management, giving him a 360-degree perspective on the bullion ecosystem.

Dileep is an active voice in India’s evolving gold policy discussions and works closely with industry stakeholders to drive transparency, compliance, and innovation in the bullion trade. He has also represented Malabar Group in dialogues with global institutions, including LBMA-accredited refiners, regulatory bodies, and central banks.
