The Global Precious Metals Conference is fast approaching, and whilst preparations are underway, we are excited to announce four new speakers who will join our esteemed lineup for Session 8: Volatility, Liquidity and Clearing.
Against a backdrop of evolving market dynamics, shifting liquidity patterns and increased price volatility, this session will examine the forces shaping precious metals trading and market infrastructure today.
Meet the Speakers
Adrian Ash
Director of Research, BullionVault
Moderator
Adrian leads comms and industry insight at BullionVault, the precious-metals fintech where private investors now own $4bn of physical gold, silver, platinum and palladium. A regular speaker on LBMA webinars and a member of the Public Affairs Committee, he is frequently quoted by news, investment-trade and personal-finance outlets across the world.
Scott Willig
Head of Precious Metals Trading, J.P. Morgan
Scott has held a number of leadership positions within the J.P. Morgan Commodities division since 2008 including Head of US Macro Investable Indices Trading & Structuring and Head of Global Agricultural Trading. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Scott worked in Commodities and Interest Rates Trading at Lehman Brothers. Scott is a member of the Shanghai Gold Exchange International Advisory Committee and holds a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Finance from Princeton University.
Gregory Frith
Senior Precious Metals Trader, Gunvor Group
Gregory brings 20 years of trading experience, starting at the London Metal Exchange with Sempra Metals Ltd. He has held senior roles at ICBC Standard Bank, VTB Capital, and StoneX, managing global bullion trading across multiple regions. His expertise includes gold, silver, and PGMs, with a focus on innovative financing solutions and market access for mining companies.
Nicolas Carrera
Chief Executive Officer, Metalor Technologies SA
Nicolas is CEO of Metalor Technologies SA, a global leader in precious metals refining and advanced materials. Having joined Metalor in 2007, Nicolas has held a number of senior treasury and leadership positions, including Group Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee, before being appointed CEO in 2025. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in the precious metals industry and is focused on driving innovation, sustainability and long-term growth across Metalor's global operations.
