Standards of Conduct at LBMA Events
LBMA events provide opportunities to connect, collaborate and strengthen our global market. To help ensure these events remain positive and productive for everyone involved, we would like to remind all Members of the standards that guide our community.
All participants attending LBMA events – whether individually or with colleagues, guests, or associates – are expected to uphold LBMA’s conduct standards and comply with evolving legislation on harassment prevention. Preventing harassment is a shared responsibility, and Members are expected to act professionally, support fellow participants, and help ensure our events reflect the standards and integrity of the market we represent.
Harassment Statement
At LBMA, we are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone involved in our events and activities. As part of our commitment, we take a zero-tolerance approach to harassment in any form.
We have strengthened our policies to ensure that all third parties, including attendees, contractors, suppliers and partners, are fully aware of our expectations.
Harassment is unwanted conduct related to a protected characteristic that has the effect of violating someone's dignity or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment for someone. This includes the protected characteristics of disability, sex, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation and age.
Harassment, whether verbal, non-verbal or physical, will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Inappropriate or offensive comments relating to a protected characteristic
- Any form of unwanted attention or behaviour of a sexual nature
We expect all attendees at our events to act with professionalism, courtesy, and respect towards others at all times. Any violation of this policy will result in immediate action, which may include removal from the site, prevention from attending future events or activities and further legal consequences.
By attending our events or activities, you agree to uphold these standards and contribute to maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere. If you witness or experience any behaviour that you believe violates this policy, please report it immediately to one of our designated team members.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us foster an environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
