Additional Speakers

Keynote: Nick Bridge, Visiting Professor in Practice, London School of Economics​

Nick Bridge CMG is a former UK Special Representative for Climate Change (2017–2023) with a distinguished 30-year career in diplomacy and the civil service. He has held senior roles including UK Permanent Representative to the OECD and IEA, and Foreign Office Chief Economist, with postings in China, Japan and the US. Earlier in his career, he co-led the launch of a $4bn global immunisation initiative estimated to have saved 5 million lives.

Appointed CMG in 2022, Nick is now a Visiting Professor at LSE, an Associate Fellow at Chatham House, and a sought-after advisor and speaker on global environmental challenges and solutions.

Peter Boyd, Founder and CEO, Time4Good

Peter Boyd is Founder & CEO of Time4Good and a Yale lecturer focused on helping leaders build purpose-driven, high-impact strategies. With over 20 years’ experience across business and sustainability, he has held senior roles including COO of Sir Richard Branson’s Carbon War Room, UK government energy lead, and Virgin Mobile CEO.

He now co-chairs the UN Race to Zero Expert Peer Review Group and teaches “Connected Leadership” at Yale.

Susan Keane, Senior Director of Global Toxics, Natural Resources Defense Council

Susan Keane is Senior Director of Global Toxics at the Natural Resources Defense Council. Susan is a public health specialist with over 35 years of experience working on a range of domestic and international environmental health issues. Most recently Susan has focused on reducing global mercury pollution, particularly in artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM). She is now working with the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and UNEP on the GEF-funded planetGOLD programme to reduce mercury use in ASGM in eight countries. She is also the co-leader of the ASGM Area of the United Nations Environment Program Global Mercury Partnership.
