Join Our Laboratory Tour and Sampling Workshop

We are looking forward to the various insightful speaker and panel sessions at the Assaying & Refining Conference 2025, but did you know about our optional extras for attendees on Wednesday, 19 March?

Bureau Veritas Tour - 08:30-15:00 GMT

The Bureau Veritas Tour provides a rare opportunity to see experts at work in one of the leading metals and minerals laboratories in the world, providing a behind-the-scenes look into the world of testing, inspection and certification.

Tour Fees

  • £70.00 + VAT per person (lunch and coach transfer included)

Sampling Workshop - 09:00-12:30 GMT

Depending on the amount and diversity of the material encountered, sampling errors are typically much larger than assaying errors, very often endangering representativity. How can you guarantee a representative sample and analytical result?

Kim H. Esbensen (Senior Consultant and Professor at KHE Consulting - and one of our esteemed keynote speakers) will be leading a three-hour workshop on the Theory of Sampling, which will include:

  • Principles of the Theory of Sampling;
  • What happens in the critical 'before analysis' domain;
  • Which errors matter and what to do; and
  • Resolution - the universal standard DS3077:2024 (3. ed.).

Workshop Fees

  • £133 per person; and as part of your registration, you will also receive a copy of Kim H. Esbensen's book, Introduction to the Theory and Practice of Sampling.

You will have the option to sign up to the tour and/or workshop when you complete registration for the Assaying & Refining Conference. If you have already registered for the Conference, you can modify your registration below and sign up to the tour and/or workshop.
