The silver refinery of Jiangxi Copper Lead & Zinc Metal Co. Ltd (Jiangxi) has been added to LBMA’s Good Delivery List for silver with effect from 15 February 2024.

What were the reasons for you wanting to join LBMA and what do you see as the key benefits of Good Delivery List accreditation?

Adhering to the concept of ‘creating a world-renowned brand that leads the development of the industry’, Good Delivery accreditation could further enhance the brand awareness and reputation of Jiangxi Copper, better enhance product competitiveness, and integrate into the international cycle.

Tell us about your company’s role in the precious metals market?

The quality of silver products and assay capability has reached the international level, and the current production scale ranks in the top ten in China’s precious metals market.

What’s the background and history of the company?

Jiangxi Copper Lead & Zinc Metal Co., Ltd was established in September 2009, a subsidiary of Jiangxi Copper Corporation Ltd. Now it has a variety of products including lead, zinc, gold, silver, sulfuric acid. In 2020, it won the title of ‘The Fifth Batch of National Green Factories’. In 2021, it was selected as an energy efficiency ‘leader’ in key energy-using industries in the country.

In 2022, it passed the customs AEO advanced certification, and in 2023 it ranked 49th among the ‘Top 100 Jiangxi Enterprises’.

What factors do you expect to impact your business in the short to long term?

The situation of world economy, precious metals consumption in industrial areas and geopolitical issues could impact our business.

What are your future plans for the business?

With lead and zinc production as the foundation and comprehensive recycling as the backbone, we plan to implement new development concepts, promote high-quality development, and strive to build a world-class lead and zinc combined smelting enterprise.
