This film celebrates the centenary of the LBMA gold price. It was filmed at the reception held on 12 September 2019, exactly 100 years to the day since the first ever gold price auction. Fittingly the reception was held in the current Rothschild & Co building, on the site of the second New Court building where the gold auction took place for most of the last 100 years. The film includes exclusive interviews with some of the most influential figures in the market, past, present and future, who share their memories of what the gold price means to them.
